We began with hopes and dreams way back in 2005 when we brainstormed the name Metalier on the dining room table. We still have the envelope with all the ideas on little pieces of paper.
From humble applicators of another brand, Metalier has grown to be a global brand, out there playing in the world, sourcing products from New Zealand, India, and Canada.
The Metalier Water-based System
2025 marks the year of our official launch of our completely water-based coating system. It is revolutionary. Not only is it environmentally friendly, it is also a dream for applicators. There is no heady, horrible smell, and clean up is with water, not solvents. Even our clear coat is water-based. We have two applicators for Aotearoa/New Zealand who are not only experienced in applying the water-based system, they were also part of its creation.
